I remember when and how Blue and I met at Booker T. Washington Junior High. We both joined a social club called The Imperial Saxons. From that experience,we were locked in for life as friends and it was on. As I think back of all the memories, good and bad, just remembering the many times we were sent home from Booker T., for one thing or the other. But the funniest memory of all was the time Blue and I were fighting this guy in the hall. We got caught and was sent to the principle's office. We were sitting in front of Mr. Akinson. Mr. Akinson said, McCullum you are wrong and you know you are wrong so way did you do it. Blue looked at me with the strangest look and said to Mr Akinson " I asked the man for a match he called me a black dog and I lit on his ass."
Mr. Akinson sat there for a minute and turned away and he had to burst out laughing himself. And of course we got suspended again.LOL Through the years we always stayed in touch when I wasn't in town. I had a chance to talk to Blue before he passed. His voice was weak but we still carried on the same brotherly conversation. I'll miss you my friend, REST IN PEACE !
