Mary Alice Dennis, 62, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010. She was born October 16, 1947 to the late Harrison Dennis Sr. and Louise Tinsley Dennis. Survivors include sisters, Joyce D. Akers and Rebecca D. Witt; brothers, Harrison Jr. (Jacqueline) Dennis and James (Bettie Pond) Dennis, all of Roanoke; nieces, Pamela (Charles) Burwell, Earlene Adams, Chantel Dennis and Loretta Dennis; a devoted friend, Gloria Easley, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. David L. Chapman officiating. Interment will be at Williams Memorial Park.
